These qualifications can help you meet health, safety and environment obligations under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 2003. Health and safety is also covered in a number of our civil construction and utilities qualifications.

Designed for people who have individual responsibility for protecting health, safety and the environment.
This qualification covers key skills such as knowledge of safety and emergency response, essential first aid, fire fighting, communication, and safe work practices.
Additional skills such as temporary traffic management, location of services, working in confined spaces, slinging, lifting and placing, and working with hazardous substances can also be covered. |

This qualification is designed for people working in supervisory roles who have responsibility for the health and safety of others.
The compulsory section covers essential communication, training, and safety management skills.
The elective section covers knowledge and skills including traffic management, notifiable works, planning for confined space work, incident investigation, slinging, lifting, and placing with an excavator or loader, and/or working with hazardous substances. These units can be selected to meet the individual needs of the candidate and/employer. |
